Chrono Trigger Arris Dome combination under...
Pressing a+z+d doesn’t work under X11, so you need to setup a special key for that combination in order to proceed. Here’s how.
Open /etc/snes9x/snes9x.conf and under [Unix/X11 Controls] section add the following line:
K00:p = {Joypad1 L,Joypad1 R,Joypad1 A}
That will bind p key to the desired combination. Now load the game and in front of the terminal in the Arris Dome...

ActiveRecord leaky abstraction
Now that was a strange bug. I used display as a name for one of my table columns and it was causing troubles. Finally I figured out that the display method is predefined on Object in Ruby, so ActiveRecord won’t override it. Too bad I didn’t check the list of problematic names earlier. Renamed to display_as and all is well now.
